Barrow Bard

By BarrowBard

The road to the Isles

Now the sea is calm
And the late ferry has left Mull
To its own contemplation.
A heron stares into the water
And on the mooring post, a gull
Preens, seems to doze. While
We watch, sip wine and realise
Our cup is full.
