Las Vegas

This is the interior of my hotel in Las Vegas. It's built in the shape of an Egyptian pyramid, and each of the orange rectangles you can see is a bedroom.

Its crazy, but then that's typical for this city, which is rather like a theme park on steroids and is also, of course, devoted to slot machines and casinos.

It's not a place I would normally have chosen to visit - I'm not a gambler and I'm not drawn by neon lights and a wild, party-time atmosphere. But our daughter is getting married here on Wednesday, so I'm here for her big day!
