Stage One Color

This is my favorite swamp...less than a mile from my home. A place where my mother and I used to walk every fall because it was so glorious.

This is the first stage of it's beauty...all the lower vegetation turns brilliant while the green acts as a backdrop.

Within a week, the green will glow with color, including one gorgeous tree that actually looks pink. I hope to catch that on a sunny day, and hopefully the wildlife will cooperate like they did today.

Besides this little flock of ducks, there was a blue heron and several bluejays.

Thank you to everyone who looked at the world in a different way yesterday!! My day was wonderful, partly because of you!!
