Mini

On my long drive from Oxford via the tunnel to 100 miles or so south of Dijon I passed this burgundy coloured ancient Mini doing maybe 50mph on motorways with a top speed limit of 80mph. A relatively ancient woman driving with a neat suitcase on the diminutive back seat. On and on through the tall-skied prairies of eastern France.

I got to my hotel in the end and had steak and potatoes Dauphinois and Crozes Hermitage . The hotel has been devastated by massive hail recently: the plastic gutters and shutters literally torn to shreds.

A long day awaits tomorrow.
