Curious tree

The joiner came this afternoon to finish replacing the runners on the drawers in the bedroom so I went out for a walk. This horse-chestnut tree was on my route, probably, it has some kind of disease but it is quite interesting and the chestnuts were huge and surprisingly smooth.
