Baby Butterfly's first day out

We nurtured 10 tiny painted lady butterflies over the last two months from caterpillar to chrysalis and yesterday they emerged from their cocoons. Today it was nearly sunny enough to release them and I hope they survived. Some flew instantly from my hand into the sky and some lingered, fell to the grass and then flew to the raised bed flowers.
Fragile beautiful life.
We traveled to Kilmartin today to be with my sister for the next few days and had a lovely walk back to Temple Wood . Some extras.
