There's no gold in those hills

There is no gold in Mount Canigou but there are other metals. Many planes have crashed on its slopes and it is often speculated that the large deposits of iron ore, mined until the 2oth century, have been responsible for upsetting aircraft navigational equipment. Near here there are also talc and marble quarries. Son 2 and I went for a walk up to the waterfalls today and this is an alternative view showing the iron ore and magnesium deposits.
