Hoverfly in a bindweed flower

I have been in my house for over 30 years and during the whole of that time have waged war on bindweed. I still have some coming up but it's very much better than it was years ago.

This bindweed was in the castle grounds - it's very welcome to grow there twining it's way around the plants, just not in my garden! The insects love it and there were a few hoverflies visiting the flowers when I was there.
