Gaudi"s Capriche

We left Santander this morning and drove along the coast to the pretty little town of Comillas. We went there expressly to see one of Antoni Gaudi's buildings in this town - Capriche - and that is exactly what it is - a caprice! Full of turrets and colours, his buildings always make me wonder and laugh. So many ways to look at this building, the main blip is of one of the turrets and the composite shows other aspects including the beautiful sunflower tiles which are dotted all over.

Gaudi's masterpiece is La Sagrada Familias in Barcelona, unfortunately he was run over by a municipal bus before he completed it although l wonder if he would ever have completed it to his satisfaction!
