We had to call the plumber back as the Raeburn kept tripping. He was here a couple of hours. We pay for an hour's work and an hour's constant talking, but he has a good relationship with the old beast. Let's hope it's working now.

We had to go to Whitley Bay to pick Thomas up after his first week at school, part-time. He starts in earnest next week, with breakfast club then after school club. Same hours as nursery was really. We took him for an ice cream in the hope he'd forget about the park, but no, that was next. Lots of his friends were there so he got tired out. I had to leave Mr C ostensibly in charge while I walked up to the nursery for James. He asked for Grandgran but when I suggested the park by the nursery he was happy. His wellies and shoes were soaked as he'd spent a lot of time washing cars for charity. He weeded between the rocks, then climbed on them. His mum joined us when she got off the metro. We were all home before Mr C and Thomas who would not leave the park they were at by the school till the last child had gone. Both boys were very tired after not only an active day, but also, a week outside their normal routine. Their mum is shattered and she has the run on Sunday.
