Edith Cavell's memorial

Edith Cavell was a highly respected nurse in Belgium during the First World War. She helped numerous allied soldiers to escape from occupied Belgium. The German authorities discovered this and she was found guilty of treason. Despite numerous appeals for mercy including one from the USA, she was shot by a firing squad in 1915. Apparently the night before she said "Patriotism is not enough, I must have no hared or bitterness towards anyone".
I put a picture of the lovely cloisters in Norwich cathedral in extras.
