Weeping Oak Bracket

I headed over The Vyne to day to check out the National Trust's project to repair the roofs.  The tiles are now going back on to the main house. And after waiting patiently for the bat "maternity wing" to empty, they are now getting going on removing the old tiles on the Chapel end.  Apparently it is all due to be completed in the new year ... umm ... there seems a lot to do still (extra).

Afterwards, I grabbed a coffee before heading into the woods for a walk and more fungi.  I came across this bracket fungus oozing a honey-like substance from its pores. Looking it up when I got home, it is an Oak Bracket, which as its name suggests is normally found on oaks, as indeed it was here.
