One person looking at this will instantly know where I am standing & will know this view already. We are looking across a field of stubble to the village of Great Kimble then over the roads & into the hills we can see:

Far Left on top of hill the Wendover Monument - need to see picture large in order to make it out.
Within the tree line also on the left you can see Ellesborough Church.
Middle Right you can see a hill with no trees on the top. This is known as Cymbeline's Mount/Mound/Castle (Beacon Hill)

Now as you can imagine there is a valley between the Wendover Monument Hill (Coombe Hill) & Cymbeline's Mount ...somewhere in there is the Prime Minister's Country Residence called Chequers.
Links to all three pictured are as follows:

I had gone out to stock the larder & the fruit bowl which was getting low. From there I diverted out into the country in the direction of Kimble for a landscape picture & managed to find two (See extra).

Cold day with showers & a strong breeze.

Have just slammed a gammon in which we will have with SW roasties & veg - yum !

I was sad to read of the death of one of my all time favourite Country & Western singers Don Williams. As a tribute here is one of his best known songs which I still love:
