Audrey Comes to Campbeltown

15.4C starting wet then clearing for a few hours before heavy showers and dark cloud through the afternoon.
Moderate Southerly breeze then SSW/S/WSW wind to.23 mph with gusts to 34 mph.

Grocery shopping.

Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. There were quite a no seals on the rocks by the shore at Kiel.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again along the path at the back of the beach with the last little bit back on the beach itself.
.
The Antrim coast was very clear when the light fell on it.
Lots of Gannets, Oystercatchers, and Ringed Plovers.
We brought home a length of blue rope and a long narrow piece of driftwood which is drying out in our stone shed before it becomes part of the garden sculpture we want to make sometime in the future.

There were no eggs on display at Little farm's roadside stand.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was accompanying the painting.

Just before 5pm we went round to the Picture House to see Audrey - The Vintage Mobile Cinema. Her visit was due to the Picture House being in the top six in this year's vote Dig It! 2017 - a year-long celebration of Scottish archaeology with a packed programme of events from organisations across the country. We got to go inside and enjoy a program of short films and newsreels too! Great fun!
