"Oh yay, oh yay!"

Sunday 10th September 2017 (1842)

Church open again this afternoon for National Heritage Weekend. The Heritage Society also had things going on in the village hall, including a talk by the Liverpool Town Cryer, which I managed to get along to. We finished with a Songs of Praise service in church.

After the service I discovered a problem, I had left my car lights on (it had been raining heavily earlier) and drained the battery! Thankfully members of the congregation were there to assist and we got it going again. As it was a lovely evening I went for a long drive to recharge the battery. 

It has been a heavy and long week, now it's time to put my feet up and relax this evening.
