Southend-on-Sea

The start of the day was sunny but windy.  Met a friend and walked into Southend to go to the Arts Council Open Day at the Cliffs Pavilion (local theatre).  The mini beach huts are a new display at the seaside end of the High Street (back and front) the statue is further along the road and the other shot is sitting having a coffee at the Cliffs.  The open day was interesting, talked to a photographic society and took their syllabus, may give it a try.  Also talked to a drama group about helping back stage, not on it!  Also a new art gallery complex is nearing completion in Leigh which is a place I might visit.  By the time we reached the car the heavens opened and it rained hard but when I got home it was dry!
