Out and about

Casper was let out of his pen for the first time this morning and it can best be described with these Star Trek words: he  boldly went where no rabbit has gone before! Rosie used to avoid both smooth floors and tiles but they clearly form no problem for Casper. He ventured into the bedroom whereas Rosie never went further than the living room door. Casper even went all the way to the storage area door at the other end of the kitchen whereas Rosie never went further than the oven beside the kitchen door. He was also so quick that I lost sight of him a couple of times and had to look for him.

Fortunately he was very good going back inside his pen for his greens after a couple of hours so I could go out to the pet store for some new litter. In the afternoon, before I let Casper out of his pen a second time, I blocked the door opening of the living room to the hall and bedroom with a cardboard box so that Casper would be somewhat easier to keep an eye on. After a few hours, he was a very good boy going back inside his pen to eat his pellets and use his toilet.

Although not as sharp as I would have liked this photo to be, strangely enough my phone seems to cope better with photographing Casper than any of the cameras.

Temperatures were a bit cooler today but it stayed dry most of the day. It only rained once but of course that happened just as I was walking back from the pet store to the apartment.

A big thank you for the kind comments, stars and heart on yesterday's Woodpigeon blip.
