The Smiling Face I Saw Today

And despite the lack of smiles from others, I stayed upbeat and positive.  Almost chirpy.   You could, in German,  say "Er ist sehr munter", munter having a very different meaning here than in English (where it is used in a pejorative way to describe a less than attractive person).

Such things need not concern us though.

We, or least I, shall look for the bright side in everything.  I've had enough of letting my own negativity wear me down.
