Self-assembly

Although the previous owner's relatives left the white goods in the house for Miss Flum, they cleared everything else. However, checking whether the bin needed emptying, she found one or two interesting items at the top - so moved the whole bin into the garage to be sorted later.

Yesterday we went through it. This provided a few blip opportunities, here is the first.

In a cardboard box we found the above items, some carefully wrapped in tissue; how on earth did they fit together? In fact, were all the components present? Well, all are present and correct, I worked out how to assemble them (but have yet to test the efficacy) into a Harper 1000 mincer.

Whether Miss Flum will wish to use it is immaterial; perhaps it is regarded as collectable, vintage kitchenalia; it could go to a charity shop, or, at the very least, she can recycle the metal, which clearly did not occur to those who binned it.
