Fitting allot in

Had to whip out the sunglasses for the cycle to work and I paused to soak up the morning sun. I am eternally grateful to live opposite this allotment rather than the roaring highway on the other side of the building.

Met a proposal deadline, although it's for a piece of funding from the UK government, and as with much of UK political decision-making, we anticipate delays and a lack of clarity for some time.

Continued with the induction of a new team member, supporting me in the South Sudan work. Ate pork pies on Kings College wall. Was happy with how shoulder- and headstands went at yoga.

A friend at work said my face was looking less leathery and brown than a few weeks ago. Cue rapid completion of South Sudan visa paperwork for scheduled embassy run tomorrow.
