Filling Up

15C and mostly sunny, with a breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch again. In the field just across the road from the side of our house there were two tractors. One was parked (green), and the other (blue) was turning the rows of straw to help it dry out in the breeze. We shall be having bales made in that field before long. We carried on round our usual route, and down the bridle path from where we could see 'Valhalla VI' moored in her usual spot at the furthest mooring in the channel through the rocks.

The tide was very high again, and the sand dry and deep to walk on. We plodded slowly along to the Fishermen's huts. Three men working around today. Two on their boats, and one in his hut. The boats are being cleaned of salt and seaweed and being readied for their winter at the back of the beach. The sky was clear and just right for some contrasty pictures. I liked this one of the creel rack belonging to the owner of 'Shamara II', which is almost full of floats and creels again. Looks like Shamara II's fishing season is over for another year.

Earlier there was a nice sunrise and later there was mowing in the front garden.
