Sunday at the Revival didn't get off to a great start as we had to walk from our B&B (again) as taxi's were in short supply however the sun was shining.
This 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom was on display at the Lavant Bank car park. The car was originally made as a limo by Kellner of Paris for the Marquis of Northampton and in the 50's was fitted with this safari body. It was apparently used to tow a matching caravan which transported livestock which arrived by air at Heathrow airport. In the 60's it fell into disrepair and was dismantled and left on a Welsh hillside for 30 years. Restoration commenced in 2001 and is still a work in progress.
We managed to catch quite a few of the races -  the RAC TT race was particularly exciting. E-Types and AC Cobras (and others) battled for an hour. Gordon Shedden took the chequered flag but a penalty given to Chris Ward in the first half meant that the Gans/Wolfe Cobra took first place.
Late afternoon, the heavens opened again and we were grateful not to have taken our car to the muddy car parks. Still managed to get soaked and managed to ruin another pair of shoes. Overall another fab event and look forward to next year.
Loads more photo's to review which I'll post a link to later.
