Bewdley

We were staying outside of Birmingham the night before our flights home.

We booked a pub that had accommodation and a good menu. We arrived. The woman behind the bar couldn't tell us where best to park or check us in as she didn't know how to. That drama over, we headed downstairs to order a pint and some food....Apparently the kitchen closes on a Wednesday night and they were closing the pub at 10pm as it would be quiet.

We ended up wandering the street until we found another eatery (the barwoman was too dithery to tell us where would be good). Returning before any risk of being locked out, we opened the door into a bustling pub with a folk night session in full swing. Only one table left so we settled and ordered drinks. I ordered a gin, the bottle was empty. I ordered another gin from their menu, they didn't have it. I got lucky third time. We've not had a shower as the shared bathroom is a little shabby...and myself and Gorgeous are a little snobby about bathrooms.

It could be a good pub...but staying here seems such hard work!!
