High Noon... not!

After a busy week at work, it was a quick shop for a M&S meal. It was a gorgeous afternoon and the granite buildings are always at their best in this weather.

I fancied taking a few shots of Marischal College and looked for some interest around Provost Skene's House. Unfortunately the boards closing off St Nicholas House for its demolition scuppered that idea.

I headed towards Marischal along Netherkirkgate and the granite tower of the Town House looked stunning as I turned the corner. It was so stark against the clear blue sky.

I prefer the monochrome as it shows the contrast between the sunlit stone, shadows and sky better.

The clock said it was Twelve o'clock but it wasn't. It was four! (The sun would be due south-ish at noon.)
