An old Muddy Fox Courier.

One of the very first available 'proper' mountain bikes in the UK.

I spotted this on my way to ride Nan Bield in the Lake District.

I occurs to me that mountain bikes have come on a long way since this bike.

This bike wouldn't have been able to deal with the stuff that my modern bike got hurled over and down today.

Modern mountain bikes are amazing things.
