Smailholm Tower

I had never been close to this tower before and so decided to make a diversion on my way home. It was built  in the 15th century and was fortified for protection from occasional raids by the English(!)

Well, back from my hols: what I had missed last week was my cats and a lot of time was spent with a cat on my lap for the rest of the day. I think they have forgiven me!
