On The Horizon

Splendidly clear day at the south end of Shetland.  There's been a gentle northerly wind blowing for the last couple of days so the air is clear and the  sea at the south of Shetland is flat calm.

Fair Isle has been clear on the horizon all day - when the weather is like this it looks much closer than the 25 miles away that it actually is. (And the island in the foreground is Lady's Holm)
