Picnic under an Almond tree.

Up into the hills again today, this time to Barranco de Guayadeque which is a steep water cut valley where some of the original inhabitants of the island lived until the Spanish colonised the archipelago. We had lunch in this shaded picnic area before discovering a restaurant about 300metres further around the corner. It was very busy though, and at one point we were convinced the chap at the next table was Alberto Contador.

In the afternoon we found a really good dark volcanic sand beach at San Augustan, no real swimming, we were more chucked about by the Atlantic, Gill looks to have broken a toe :-(
