Cream tea

Wow! A Sunday morning where we weren't woken by two little people burrowing into our bed! Had a very leisurely start to the day then did a bit of browsing in the outdoor shops in Ambleside where I tried on about 30 different waterproof costs and still didn't find one! I nearly bought a very bright orange one till I saw the price tag and Mr EG pointed out we'd clash badly as his waterproof has orangey red bits on it!!

Mr EG found a nice coat though. He doesn't buy clothes very often so that was a bit of a surprise! He still owns some clothes he had when we met 18 years ago!!

We had a big brekky so didn't really want lunch but a bit peckish by 2pm so we went for a cream tea by the river before setting off home. Me EG posing with his. M6 was awful. Had to stop by to feed the horses on the way home so not back till 7.30pm.

Toby and Eva were just about ready for bed when we got in but were very excited to see us and we got huge hugs. Toby was good and still went to bed. Eva came down several times as she thought she was missing something. Good to be home. Big thanks to BG and The Gov for looking after T&E and the dogs. Was so good to have a weekend to ourselves.
