Want to Hear More?

The more I think about yesterday's gathering the more amazing it was. We are a diverse bunch.   The group included us "white" people, our granddaughter (Cambodian), her boyfriends & his family( "black"),  adoptive family (White & Cambodian/Thailand)         All-American Families      Funny, Smart, Rich, Poor, Spiritual, Atheist, Religious, Young, Old......and probably everything in between. Love for our Granddaughter brought us together and this is the same Granddaughter who was estranged from most of us only two years ago........Life is interesting... there is hope in the most awful circumstances.... sometimes something that seemed "bad" turned out to be "good"..... change happens in unexpected ways!

Oh.....this photo? Since we invited the men to the baby shower, we played  a game where the men had to dress the "baby" to show the new dad how  to put on a diaper and completely dress and wrap a baby....it was fun laughing together as the guys were good sports making the process funny and fun. The Cabbage Patch Dolls worked perfectly with newborn baby clothes!   See, hanging onto all those newborn baby clothes was a good idea!!!!!  That is why it is so difficult for me to declutter my closets and attic.  Oh, the bassinet? Yes, it was mine when I was a baby, used for each of my children, many newborn foster children and our grandchildren........now it will be used for a great-grandchild.  Did you really read all of this? If so, thanks......I try not to ramble on too often.
