Autumn Past

This is an example of a beautiful autumn day we see on High Praire...when there isn't a wildfire.

Since mid-August, we have experienced smoke from wildfires. Two big wildfires, Eagle Creek in the gorge and Chetco Bar on the southern Oregon Coast are still burning. The Eagle Creek fire has filled the gorge with smoke and the major east-west freeway has been closed.

Rain is expected across Oregon this week and hopefully, the rain will help put out the wildfires. Perhaps soon we will see of these beautiful autumn days again.
