The Trunk

This camphorated trunk has been in my life for as long as I have been on earth.  It came to Kenya, my parents believe from Indonesia, followed them through several moves, then followed them to south Africa where again it had several moves. When they passed I asked my sister if I could have it as it houses my mother and my stamp collection. So it came to the UK.  It has certainly seen better days but is one of the few items I have that belonged to my family and I treasure it.  
My TV sits on it now in the corner of my living room. 
It is heavily carved on all sides and the top (40" x 19" x18") and catches the dust beautifully in the ornate carvings!
