Thought for the day

“Go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is.” — Jimmy Carter

Taking a risk, these youngsters are waiting in the corridor for their orchestra auditions whilst others try to find out the results of last week's choir auditions... leaving one's comfort zone is never easy, as we older folk know.

I tried messing about with the photo, creating an "in the dark" visual metaphor for their uncertainty - not very successfully, I don't like it much - but then, she who takes no risks moves not forward - or something like that.  Or, to put it another way:

“Yes, risk-taking is inherently failure-prone. Otherwise, it would be called ‘sure-thing-taking.’” — Jim McMahon
