Goanna

During a walk at Eden last week I was startled by a rustle in the grass and nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw this guy climb into a tree a couple of metres away. He only climbed a short way then froze, clinging to the trunk near ground level. I think he was as frightened as me and thought if he stayed still we'd think he was part of the tree.
