Always prepare for the unexpected!

L and I took a trip to Linlithgow this morning ..... I needed some extra patchwork fabric.

The car park was closing at 5 o'clock, no access to the Palace or the main entrance to St Michael's Church. We asked the security man at the car park what was going on ..... FILMING!
The car park was being taken over by the huge vehicles needed by the crew and cast and the grounds round the Palace were full of filming equipment ...... and the film is ..... 'Outlander'

All the benches below the palace had to be moved and the tarmac covered with grit and some authentic period boats and coracles had to be brought in. The coracles were given some seaworthy trials which they passed with flying colours.
