Beetroot macro

Well we said goodbye to our daughter and her fiancé this afternoon, our son went as well as he will be joining her friends for further celebrations at the weekend. Now it's time to take stock and catch up on everything. Camera club tonight.

The allotment is just full of weeds now and some very very large beetroot. I dug up a few this morning hoping to offload some. It seems the beetroot is too acidic for me as my tongue gets sore after eating it. So next year it will have to be a different crop.
