Oh Lucky Day!

James has had a hardworking summer in London and now has a couple of weeks at home to relax before back to Uni.  We've done the pros and cons and he's clearer what sort of work environment he'd prefer going forward which is all good.

He felt the worst thing about working in London was the fact he had to spend 2/3rds of his salary on accommodation.  Most other interns lived at their parents home and therefore had nowhere near the same costs. James had organised his own digs via airbnb (twice) and despite taking advantage of some family connections, was only just breaking even at the end of the summer.

Then today,he received a totally unexpected windfall, a credit of £750 to his account from one of the accommodations!  All too boring to detail but he chose to ring them back to say he wasn't entitled to it and they said 'thank you for being so honest - keep the money!'

So he treated me to lunch.

The photo is of James trying to schmooze the cat who has seen the dog cuddling up...and is not impressed.
