Paphos old town

Today we took full advantage of our second day of car hire and had a splendid day out.  Firstly we visited Paphos old town, which is currently undergoing a major renovation project.  There are mixed views on this:  work is needed but in the process sites such as the old fruit and vegetable market have simply been knocked down.  Local businesses fear for their livelihood as many tourists have been told that it's virtually a no go area at the moment.  NOT TRUE, if you happen to be visiting!
Further up in the mountains we found a delightful place for lunch and managed to visit the Asprogia-Kannaviou dam plus 2 quite delightful monasteries.  Details of these visits will have to go on my Facebook page.
For today's blip I've chosen a very typical doorway in the old part of Paphos.
