Love on a farmboy's wages.

The annual Forest of Arden Ploughing and Hedging competition.
The two horses here are Annie and Caspar, they are Dutch Draft or Draught horses. They look immensely stocky and strong. It started to rain and cars were getting stuck in the mud as they were leaving, not us fortunately but I should think these two could pull them out easily.
Usually we treat ourselves to an enormous ploughman's lunch at this event but restrained ourselves today as we are going out later.

Love on a Farmboy's wages
By Andy Partridge XTC

High climbs the summer sun
High stands the corn
And tonight when my work is done
We will borrow your father's carriage
We will drink and prepare for marriage
Soon my darling, soon my darling
Shilling for the fellow who brings the sheep in
Shilling for the fellow who milks the herd
Shilling for the fellow with a wife for keeping
How can we feed love on a farmboy's wages?
