Little Stints

This morning I took advantage to go out for a spot of midweek birdwatching. I picked my mate up and we headed off towards the coast. We stopped off at a reservoir near Louth called Covenham and was rewarded with a very  enjoyable hour watching waders at very close range. 5 Little stints  the photo shows 3 of them ,1 Red Necked Phalarope , 1 Curlew Sandpiper , 1 ringed plover, 1 ruff , 1 dunlin All very close around 4 meters (13 feet) at times hence very close to be able to get a few shots of them. We then went on to a couple of other places where we didn't see much and then we popped into Saltfleet to see a Long billed dowitcher managed some distant shots and also found a yellow browed warbler. Some of my other shots can be seen HERE of the other waders. A very enjoyable morning with some lovely close views.
