The King?s Head Gorams Mill Lane,Laxfield,Suffolk

Day out today into the depths of Suffolk and I was enticed by the description of the King's Head at Laxfield. This is one of the very few pubs left in Britain that has no bar-counter.
You go in the tap room at the back where you can survey the array of barrels and request whatever takes your fancy, drawn straight from the barrel. I ordered a brie and bacon and matured ham and pickle sandwich and a pint of Adnams Lighthouse. I must say how impressed I was with both the food and the beer. I left saying "I'll be back" and apparently I wasn't the first to say this. This pub is well worth a visit.
