Today's the day ............................... to sight-see

This was not the sort of day that you would want to show off the beauty of the Lake District to visitors who had never been before - but we had no choice.

Cousin Anne, who now lives in America and her good friend Alma from South Africa had come all this way - and we didn't have them for very long - so we just had to make the best of it.  And really, it didn't matter because what we wanted to do was chat and catch up on all their news.

We had lots of fun and laughter - and they said it looked good in the rain anyway ............................?!
