Day one on the bikes and we headed off on a wander round an old volcanic plug. Lots of lovely crisscrossing minor roads. Although we had booked with a third party, the bikes and routes were supplied by Bike Breaks Girona. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Really helpful and knowledgeable.

The pear harvest was in full flow; it looked like rather labour intensive work. Just under 60km for day 1; happy with that. Although I wasn’t happy that JT had more gears on his bike than I had on mine!
