The Very Industrious Spider

This spider has been living in the entrance to our garage for well over a week now, attempting on a daily basis to build a web massive enough to fill the space between the roof and the top of our row of wheely bins. It keeps getting destroyed by the wind, parcel-delivery men - even us, once, when it tried to anchor one corner to the back of the car and we had to give Tom a lift to the station - but on she battles, as if illustrating the famous story. I have tried to take her picture most days but the unique combinations of light and movement have been problematic, to say the least. This one, from earlier today, is the best I've managed. This afternoon, I've deleted all the rest and she seems to have given up and gone off somewhere else...
