Scotsman Steps

One of the most unusual artworks in Edinburgh is the Scotsman Steps which was conceptualised by the artist Martin Creed. I'm not a fan of much that I have seen of Creed with his recent Edinburgh Festival show being an example but the use of different marbles for each of the steps provides an engaging spectacle for those using the steps to get from Market Street to North Bridge. It's a shame that others seem to use it as a toilet and late-night drinking establishment so it was nice to find a few 'clean' steps that could be used for this week's PATTERNS blip theme.
