The grey stone Georgian mansion was hidden behind trees, but it was the mile long track down to the sea through tumbled woods , trailing ivy and tangled undergrowth that evoked so vividly the first page of Rebecca . Of course in the novel it was called the boat house but it is a four bedroom house that sits on the edge of a beach .
