Turkeytail Fungus

The Turkeytail Fungus is fairly common and widespread.
Its Latin name, Trametes versicolor, is derived from the varied (and variable) colours present in this fungus.

This was on a fallen log of some hardwood (deciduous) tree that was now totally covered in moss.
