150years: The BBC Big Anniversary SING !

BBC Radio Bristol organised a big sing event to celebrate 150 years of musical entertainment at the Colston Hall and the last event before a major refurbishment. 

The programme , introduced by BBC Radio presenters, included a reflection of the music and entertainers performing in this theatre over the last 50 years from the Beatles to Bastille and performed  by 'The Resistance Big Anniversary Swing Band' , conducted by David Ogden and the Combined Choirs of Bristol ..........And Mrs UE who has never been in a choir, doesn't want to be in a choir, has never sung in public and has never in front of circa 800 people in her life!!! So well done to her.

You can hear her performing , together with everyone else of course, on BBC Radio Bristol at Christmas.

David, the Conductor, managed to scrabble us into combined effort with 1 x  2.5 hour rehearsal this afternoon!!!

Sorry about the quality of the picture, which is the view from my seat , and a sad reminder of a glorious event and may reinforce the view that men can't do 2 things at once !
