I wasn't expecting that......

We decided on the longer walk around the Trentham Garden estate this morning. This covers part of the gardens, half the lake and then walking up to the monument (of the Duke of Sutherland), along through Kings Wood. We finish coming back past Trentham Parish Church and the old stable yard of Trentham Hall to our car. It's about 2 hours.

There are special breed sheep on the estate - Jacobs Sheep and black Shetlands. We saw the rams at the bottom of the monument, with the ewes at the end of the walk. What we didn't expect was a single Herdwick with her lamb!
