Sunshine in Lossie

Backblip
We were both a bit weary after the last few days so we had a fairly lazy morning and left home just after 11. David ran into Morrisons to pick up some meal deals for lunch and then we were on our way to Urquhart to drop David off for work.
The sun was shining brightly with lovely blue skies. A good journey over, the road works in Forres have changed so no traffic lights, so we had enough time to go to Kingston and eat our lunch watching the birds. Must more action than the other week, a kestrel was hovering just a few  feet from the car, swans were a swimming, plenty of ducks and a colourful male yellowhammer sang from a bush in front of us.
After dropping David off we drove the short distance to Lossiemouth. We had nt been to the East Beach before so we were pleasantly surprised as it was beautiful. The tide was high and looking very blue against the clear sky. A Canadian canoe was paddled past , not sure what the men were thinking as they tried to go under the low part of the footbridge unsuccessfully , there was a higher part just a few feet away.
We walked along the front, had an icecream from Rizzas Icecream shop and sat near the bed of wildflowers. A walk along to the harbour with it's colourful boats of all sizes and then back to cross the bridge to the beach. Just enough time to walk to the end f the water and I liked this photo of the heart and the little footprints in the sand. Still plenty of birds around on our return journey but the highlight was a Peregrine Falcon that again was just a few feet away from us. There looks like there's a nice walk down to the Forest so think we will do that next week.
Home with a quick burger king for dinner, too tired to cook :) Pitch black when we got back.
